Sure you could go guns blazing and still you mark and kill but there were plenty of "ghost" pathways through the levels and the game would actively reward you for choosing this playstyle. I quite liked Blacklist as it made an attempt to bring the game back to its roots and gave players more options as to playstyle. Not to say Conviction is a bad game in of itself however it is certainly a bad "Splinter Cell" game. ![]() Instead it replaced them with an almost "Spidey Sense". ![]() It also took away many of Sam's gadgets which made the splinter cell games so versatile in the way a player went about completing a level. I absolutely hated Conviction, the change to mark and kill system made the game far to focused on action and shooting and took away the "you were never there" playstyles of the previous games. Double Agent was still fairly good but definitely a step down from Chaos Theory, with more of a focus on story. 1-3 are great, with 3 being particularly phenomenal.
